Hey guys so we are still continuing to look at this and we will make a full post-mortem, but until then let me make some clarifications and updates. 1. It seems the staking contracts have somehow been compromised, we are still investigating this and will be coming with a clear answer in the next 24 hours. Initially I was under the impression that it was a long-time staker but after seeing the amounts we realised something was wrong so we started looking deeper into it. The reason for the dump is also this, the exploiter has essentially sold about 7.4M HYVE on market or 7.4% of the total supply. 2. Regardless of how this happened, I want the community to be aware that we will be making everyone whole and we will take the loss as our own, using foundation and team tokens to cover the loss so no user will be forced to take a loss due to this. 3. I am genuinely sorry and still a bit shocked by this. We were also caught a bit off guard as it’s 4am here. In any case, we will continue to investigate this and find out exactly what happened. The brightside is the exploiter funded some wallets from coinbase so we may be able to get law enforcement involved in this as well in order to pursue the exploiter. 4. We are already in touch with Kucoin as well to try and find out who the perpetrator is. We will do our best to find out exactly who did this and bring him to justice. Lastly, please know that we will continue to do our best to make HYVE become what it should. This is the first time we’ve ever had a security issue and we will make sure to never have this happen again. Thank you for the trust and I will now continue looking into this.
